The best leaders are the best learners.

This painting was an interesting journey and really quite profound. It started as something quite different. I kept trying to create a painting that clearly didn’t want to be created! Once I surrendered to that notion, this one emerged instead.
What’s interesting is sometimes we want the answer before we’ve had the experience. Or, we think we know the answer before we’ve lived the journey.
I sat down to create this piece and I had to welcome the mistakes, and move away from the plan to allow something else to manifest. It can be hard and uncomfortable at times, to look at something and feel ‘why isn’t it working?’
I loosened the grip on previous expectation. I let go.
Not having the answers and allowing moments of obscurity is what eventually makes way for the the clarity.
This piece is better than the one I had planned.
