Fragments of Time

This piece is part of a collection I’m working on called Fragments of Time. The artworks are created on old book pages and drawings I’ve made, then torn apart. To me, the statues represent a perfect beauty, frozen in time. The torn paper—the act of almost destroying the drawing and piecing it back together—represents imperfect beauty. The chapters of a story. Some don’t make sense in the moment; they may be difficult or heartbreaking, but we live to write another chapter.

Somehow, embracing imperfection—tearing drawings, making impulsive marks, layering freely—feels like accepting the ebb and flow of life.
